The Copywriter is responsible for drafting and editing marketing content of an exceptional quality that will help drive brand awareness and product sales. This position writes marketing content that is aligned with the strategic priorities and brand for the wemlo and Motto Mortgage business channels.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Developing a significant amount of internal and external-facing marketing including writing for multiple marketing vehicle types including - but not limited to - point of sale, direct mail, email, digital ads, keywords, social, blog, internal communications, and editorial articles.
- Leading writing projects and tasks with minimal guidance.
- Developing team coordination to ensure the strategic distribution of content across mediums.
- Draft, edit, and proofread copy to maintain quality and consistency.
- Creating editorial guidelines for the tone of all content and ensuring consistency across mediums.
- Collecting, monitoring, and interpreting feedback, data and research to shape the content, themes, and messaging.
Specific Skills Required:
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- A real passion for copywriting, editing, and storytelling, and sound knowledge of AP style.
- Creative word-smithing abilities in order to overcome regulatory and industry limitations.
- Collaborative approach to partnering with the design team while working within design constraints and on conveying creative messaging.
- Ability to see the big picture and to build a storyline across mediums while also paying attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and supportively up, down and across with marketing team, legal, and all levels of personnel.
- 3+ years of experience in a copywriting role.
- Experience in SaaS or technology solutions. Knowledge or experience within mortgage or financial services a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems.
- Ability to accommodate a minimal amount of domestic travel for training and conferences.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content management systems (e.g., Prismic) is a plus.
- Experience with analytics tools to understand and track the performance of content.
- Staying current with digital marketing and copywriting trends to improve content strategy and effectiveness.
Hire Range/Rate:
$55,000 - $70,000
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
